When is the right DAY to launch on Product Hunt

I’ve been thinking about how much the day of a Product Hunt launch actually matters.
Product Hunt resets the leaderboard at midnight PST, so every day is essentially its own race with a different set of launches.
From what I’ve seen:
– Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday tend to have more traffic, but also a lot more competition
– Monday can be surprisingly crowded with launches that waited over the weekend
– Friday and weekends have less volume, which might also mean less competition
That made me wonder whether the highest-traffic day is actually the best choice.
If you’ve launched on different days before, did you notice a meaningful difference?
Would you rather launch on a busy day with more traffic, or a quieter day with less competition?

I picked Tuesday for Arteza, which goes live at midnight PST tonight, and not for either of the reasons on your list. Tuesday is just the day I can sit at a desk for sixteen hours and answer everything. Every launch I've watched go badly went badly because the maker disappeared around hour four, and no amount of traffic fixes that. Day choice is a smaller lever than being in the thread, so pick the one you can actually show up for and stop modelling the rest.
