Moonitor - A private crypto portfolio tracker for iPhone, Mac and PC

by•
Moonitor tracks your crypto without an account or exchange API keys. You record what you hold, it prices it live from the exchange you pick (16 supported) and shows a real time-weighted return, not a flattering one. Moving coins to a hardware wallet is a transfer, not a sale. Price alerts, hide balances for screen sharing, an iPhone widget and sync through your own iCloud or Dropbox. Free to use. Pro is $9.99 once, never a subscription.

Hey Product Hunt, Karim here. Moonitor first launched here in December 2017 as a desktop app that read your balances through exchange APIs. It has changed completely since: no more API keys, and it now runs on iPhone, Mac, Windows and Linux, so it felt right to show it again. What bugged me about most trackers: they want a login or your exchange API keys, and they get your performance wrong. They count deposits as gains, and when you move coins to a hardware wallet they read it as a sale at a loss you never took. Moonitor works the other way: - No account, no API keys. You record what you hold, it runs on your device - Live prices from 16 exchanges, and you pick the market for each coin - Honest P&L: a real time-weighted return, realised vs unrealised profit, and transfers that stay transfers - Price alerts. On iPhone Pro they arrive even with the app closed - Hide balances: one switch turns every amount into dots for screen sharing, prices stay visible - Multiple portfolios with their own base currency, a watchlist and an iPhone widget - Sync through your own iCloud, Dropbox, OneDrive, Google Drive or Syncthing. No analytics, no ads It's free to use. Pro is $9.99 once, no subscription, and it's included in Setapp on Mac. If you just want the Bitcoin price in your menu bar, I also made LilMoon, launching separately. Happy to answer anything about how it works.
