Hey everyone 👋 I built ModelAtlas because I kept running into the same problem: the AI ecosystem is becoming overwhelming. There are now hundreds of models — GPT, Claude, Gemini, DeepSeek, Llama, Mistral and many others — and each one is better at different things. Some are cheaper, some are smarter at coding, some are faster, some support images, etc. But most people are still locked into using only one or two models through separate subscriptions and separate apps. So I wanted to create a simpler way to explore AI models from one place. ModelAtlas is a BYOK (“Bring Your Own Key”) workspace powered through OpenRouter where you can: • access 360+ AI models • switch models mid-conversation • compare models • generate images • upload files/images • create Custom AIs • discover models with the “Find AI” feature One thing I focused heavily on was making experimentation easy instead of forcing users into a single model ecosystem. Another interesting part is that I built the project through AI-assisted/no-code workflows despite not coming from a traditional programming background, which honestly says a lot about where AI tools are heading. Still improving onboarding and UX every day, especially around helping non-technical users understand APIs/BYOK more easily.
