Modaal for Android - Ship on both stores from one project using Swift + Kotlin
by•
Modaal for Android let you ship one app to both stores with your own AI agent - no rebuild. Rather than one React Native codebase that draws the same screens on both phones, Modaal shares the logic, not the screens: your agent writes real Swift/SwiftUI for iPhone and real Kotlin and Jetpack Compose for Android from one project, and the build proves both behave the same. So anyone who built an iPhone app with Modaal can add Android without touching a line of logic — no credit meters, no rebuild.

@daniel_chepenko Thank you!
I built my IOS app and I’m going to start android with modal it’s greater opportunity 🔥
@new_user___16320256ae805d34d1afab5 Great! Looking forward to seeing you build! Also, join our Discord comunity - we run Hackatons, and events - https://discord.gg/ng84Jm92tm
Thanks for giving us such helpful tool to build native apps! Congrats on the launch, @lenaavramenko !
@lenaavramenko @ksenia_svechnikova Thank you!)
nice product! this is exactly what i've been looking for for a while, but i'm on windows :( do u plan to release a windows version too?
@luca_ardito I'm interested in your use case, can I ask a few questions? Do you plan to work/release an Android app only, or both Android and iOS? How long are you planning to work on them (in weeks/months)? We might add support for building Android apps natively on Windows, is there is enough demand. Alternatively, you might want to check @Bitrise https://bitrise.io/platform/remote-dev-environments for running Modaal remotely - with full iOS and Android support.
@ivan_misuno thanks for the suggestion!
i'm planning to release both an Androind and an iOS version
if the apps go well, i'd definitely be interested in working on them for months (like improving them, adding more features, etc...)
@nathanwindsor Do you have any specific mobile app wrapper for elixir/phoenix in mind?
Because Modaal builds native apps (Swift/Kotlin) on the Duet ramework (again, native mobile app-level framework for native Swift/Kotlin apps). They are not directly comparable in any meaning.
real swift + real kotlin from one project is the right call, no react native tax 👏 congrats on android! how do you keep both builds in sync when the logic changes?
@petrkovacik Thanks! The logic core is either a single Kotlin Multiplatform module shared by Android and iOS apps; or two "pure" functional modules, with their behavior recorded and cross-tested on every change - https://docs.modaal.dev/articles/share-code-ios-android#how-do-you-know-both-apps-behave-the-same
