Hi PH community! 👋 I built MiraTranslator because I couldn't find a web translator that felt truly lightweight, flexible, and privacy-first. Most existing tools add heavy node_modules, clutter your UI with floating buttons, or force requests through proprietary middleman servers. MiraTranslator was created to offer a clean, distraction-free alternative: • Ultra-Lightweight & Clean: Pure vanilla JS (~300KB total package). No floating buttons, no cluttered right-click menus. • Context-Aware AI Translation: Uses full paragraph/article context via LLMs for remarkably natural translations instead of rigid word-by-word replacements. • Privacy & Control: Connects directly to your own API keys (OpenAI, Gemini, Ollama, DeepL, Groq, xAI Grok, etc.) with zero tracking or intermediary servers. • Mobile Browser Support: Works seamlessly on desktop as well as mobile (Firefox & Edge on Android). • Vocabulary & Cross-Device Sync: Highlight words as you read and auto-sync your settings and vocabulary list across devices via WebDAV, Google Drive, or OneDrive. • YouTube Dual Subtitles: Native bilingual CC subtitle rendering with export support. It is completely open-source under AGPL-3.0: GitHub Repository I’d love to hear your thoughts, feedback, and any features you'd like to see next!
