Minkle - A new way to meet people.

This app was created because we found the current online dating scene to be too superficial. At the core, everyone is solely judged by their physical appearances. We aim to change that. We try to reduce the emphasis that is placed on the physical, because people may still like each other based on other attributes (their personality, lifestyle, vibe, values, how they make you feel). The current popular dating apps out there do not account for that, or at least, not enough. You may very likely be dismissing someone who may not appeal to you physically, but you might have gotten along with or liked if you got to know the person better. Instead of swiping based on photos, we introduce a question and answer format. You ask three questions, and someone answers. Someone asks three questions, and you answer. If both of you liked each other’s answers, we have a match. But you don’t see their photos initially, only their name and age. If we have a match, photos are unhidden and you can start chatting. We are not trying to imply that looks don’t matter at all, they do. But it should not be the only thing that matter. We hope that this mechanism would lessen the emphasis on one’s physical appearances and give people a chance to know another person a little better before making a choice.
