Surface Studio - A brilliant screen for your ideas, from Microsoft

No denying that this video is very well done, and the product looks great. When you look at the $3K starting price, reality starts to set in. For $3K you could get a top of the line 4K 27" iMac AND an iPad Pro. Not to mention that if you ever have a service issue with this device, it's not like a laptop or tablet that you can easily mail in. Microsoft has ~100 retail stores worldwide vs Apple's ~450 retail stores worldwide.

Beautiful on the surface ;-). I'm a huge fan of the Thunderbolt displays. I have one at home and work. And this is clearly a competing option if you're a Microsoft fan. That song just grabs you though. And it's a beautiful video. I think that song and video showing a pile of horse crap might be mesmerizing. I expect if I bought it I would have to wipe it first thing to remove all the shit they put on it when you get a new PC. Also, that long of a time with no nagging notification about any number of anti-virus or security product is just unrealistic. They clearly used CGI to show windows for this video just like all the assembly/parts clips.

The bringing together of traditional workflow plus the newer touch/sketch workflow done the right way.... is going to be a game changer. The collaboration software to come out of this is going to be brilliant.
