MeeLang - MeeLang is realtime AI translator for Google Meet

The idea for MeeLang came from my own experience with online meetings. While working with people from different countries, I often found it difficult to fully follow conversations in another language. I tried several real-time translation tools, but the experience was frustrating — some had noticeable delays, some produced inaccurate translations, and some were difficult to use during actual meetings. I realized that language should not be a barrier for remote collaboration, so I decided to build a lightweight tool that could make multilingual meetings feel more natural. The biggest problem was the gap between understanding a language and participating in a conversation. Traditional translation tools often don't work well in live meetings because conversations are fast, people interrupt each other, and context changes constantly. I wanted to create a solution that could: * Translate conversations in real time * Keep latency low enough for natural communication * Provide accurate AI-powered subtitles * Work directly inside Google Meet without changing the meeting workflow The goal was simple: help people understand and participate in global conversations without needing to speak the same language. At the beginning, the focus was just making translation work. But during development, I realized that real-time translation is not only about accuracy — latency and user experience are equally important. I spent a lot of time improving: * Streaming translation speed * Subtitle synchronization * Handling incomplete sentences and interruptions * Making the interface simple enough to use during meetings The product evolved from a basic translator into a complete meeting assistant that helps people communicate naturally across languages. MeeLang is still improving, and this launch is an opportunity to learn from real users and make it better.
