Instead of presenting users with an overwhelming wall of medical information, MedicSort is being built around a much simpler idea:

The platform brings several healthcare-oriented tools together into one accessible environment.

At the center of MedicSort is Angella, our AI health assistant.

Users can describe symptoms or health concerns naturally, ask follow-up questions, and receive structured information designed to make complex medical topics easier to understand.

MedicSort is not intended to replace doctors.

It is designed to improve the difficult space before the doctor — the moment when someone does not yet know what kind of help they need.

Why We Built It

Healthcare systems contain enormous amounts of knowledge, but navigating them can still be surprisingly difficult.

A person may know that something feels wrong without knowing whether they should contact:

• A general practitioner.

• A specialist.

• An urgent care service.

• A hospital.

• Or emergency services.

Search engines can provide thousands of results.

What people often need instead is direction.

That became one of the core principles behind MedicSort.

We want technology to help transform an unstructured question such as:

“I have pain here and I don't know what to do.”

into something more useful:

What information matters?
What warning signs should be considered?
What medical field is relevant?
What is the safest reasonable next step?

Meet Angella

Angella is the conversational AI layer inside MedicSort.

The goal is not simply to create another chatbot.

We are designing Angella specifically around health-related conversations, where clarity, context and responsible communication matter.

A good healthcare assistant should be able to understand that real people rarely describe their symptoms using perfect medical terminology.

They say things like:

“My chest feels strange.”

“My child has been sick since yesterday.”

“I have pain around this part of my abdomen.”

“I don't know whether this is serious.”

Angella is designed around that reality.

The conversation can then progressively structure the information and help users understand what may be relevant.

Healthcare Should Be Understandable

One of our biggest product principles is accessibility.

Medical information is often written for professionals.

Patients live in a completely different world.

We believe AI can help bridge that gap.

MedicSort is therefore being designed not only around medical categories, but around how ordinary people actually ask questions.

We believe the strongest role for consumer health AI is not pretending to replace medical professionals.

It is helping people become better informed before and between interactions with healthcare professionals.

AI can help explain terminology.

AI can help identify relevant questions.

AI can help people navigate complex systems.

And when a situation may be urgent, technology should encourage the user toward appropriate professional or emergency care rather than creating false reassurance.

That distinction is fundamental to how we think about MedicSort.

Building From Europe for a Global Audience

MedicSort is being developed with international accessibility in mind from the beginning.

Healthcare systems differ between countries, but the fundamental user problem is universal:

People want to understand what is happening to them and where they should turn for help.

Our ambition is to gradually make MedicSort useful across languages, regions and healthcare environments while keeping the experience simple.

What We're Launching

Today, we're introducing MedicSort to the Product Hunt community.

And we're still building.

There is a huge amount we want to improve — from the intelligence of Angella to medical navigation, localization, user experience and the way different parts of the platform connect.
