The goal of Feedback Friday is to get your team on a weekly feedback streak, by dedicating a day where your team is encouraged to give the gift of feedback and share Kudos (recognition). π
How does Feedback Friday work?
π Matter kicks off Feedback Friday for you - Once a week, MatterBot kicks off Feedback Friday with a fun GIF inside your dedicated Slack channel.β¨
πΉ Gamify participation with fun nudges - MatterBot encourages your team to participate throughout the day with automatic reminders and handy Kudos templates.β¨
π Recaps and streaks keep your team engaged - MatterBot ends every Feedback Friday on a high note with a recap to celebrate everyone who participated and rewards (gift card, donation, etc.).β¨
Feedback Friday is fully customizable:
β Choose a day that works for your team.
β Pick a cadence (weekly, bi-weekly, monthly).
β Create or select an existing Slack #matter channel.
Additionally in this launch, we snuck in the feature Custom Kudos π¨ so you can easily turn your companyβs values, mission/vision statements, or teamβs inside jokes into Kudos.
As always, Matter is free to try with unlimited members and feedback. We encourage you to try it out for free by adding it to Slack. π

@henri_de_bouteiller@benjamin_grandfond2 great to hear that you are being proactive on this type of initiative. Some teams we hear from look for solutions once they realize there's a problem. Hopefully Matter can take your original initiative to the next level!
Congratulations on the launch! My last company had awards that you could give to other members of staff via a Teams channel and it was great for sharing the love. Sadly the receivers were dominated by people whoβs roles interacted with the most people in the company doing lots of small tasks, if your role was longer, larger task based then you rarely received any and certainly didnβt get enough to make it into the top three recipients who would get Amazon vouchers which was a little sad
@simon_barker1 thanks for sharing! We've had discussions around avoiding ways to only a few people receive the rewards. Or allowing for people to game it. We believe we have a pretty good plan in place for this so the same won't happen as your last company.
@farokh_shahabi 100% regarding remote teams, especially ones that use to be in office are finding this a solid way to continue employee engagement and make it feel like they never left the office.
@bretthellman For example, we have game nights once a week to have a little bit fun and socialize with each other (we're a distributed team), it would be great to play these games like scategories, spy, pictionary, etc. on Matter.
We usually do it using Zoom or discord and playing an online game.

We have been following Matter and love the concept, engaging new look and feel! It is critically important to have engaging ways to connect and provide meaningful feedback to employees as we have come through Covid lockdown and continue to embrace a hybrid model of working in the office and remote. We Matter will continue to enhance employee engagement and retention!
@hilary_hellman you're absolutely spot on! All these circumstances have created a big wave of need to focus on team culture. Whether that be through feedback, recognition, appreciation, or rewarding.
