Hi Product Hunt 👋 I’m the independent developer behind MaiPDF. I originally launched MaiPDF as a web-based tool for sharing PDFs with view limits and email verification. Over time, I realized that many users needed more control after a document was opened—especially around screenshots, copying, downloads, and identifying leaked files. This relaunch introduces MaiPDF apps for iOS, Android, Windows, and macOS, together with screenshot protection, dynamic watermarks, viewing limits, recipient verification, and remote access revocation. I built MaiPDF for individuals and small teams that need practical document protection without a complicated enterprise system. I’d really appreciate your feedback: which protection feature matters most when you share sensitive documents?

Would love to see an offline mode for sharing PDFs through QR codes locally, so people can view protected documents on a plane or in areas with spotty wifi without losing the watermarking or screenshot protection.

honestly the dynamic watermark thing is a really smart move, like you can still share the doc but people basically can't leak it without showing exactly who did. the cross-platform support across all five of those is also kind of wild for a PDF tool.

honestly this looks really solid for sharing sensitive stuff, the dynamic watermark thing is clever. one thing i'd love to see is a "self-destruct after read" option, like the pdf basically disappears after the recipient opens it once, which would be super useful for one-time contracts or legal docs.

One thing that would make this even better is a "view-only with audit log" mode that records exactly which pages each verified viewer opened and for how long, so you can spot unusual reading patterns after the fact. Right now I can lock things down but I can't really see how people engaged with the document.
