It started in early June, at a flea market in France. I found an old Kodak Brownie camera from 1927. A simple box made of cardboard and covered in leather. It has no batteries! Just film, a lens and a shutter. It made me think about how I take pictures. Snap, snap, snap, ten photos of the same subject. They end up in the cloud, and I never look at them again. Back in the 1920s, you had to think before taking a photo. You only had a limited number of chances to get the shot. Luminette is my attempt to slow down photography. You load a roll of film, take eight photos, then develop them yourself. You even have to wait for them to dry. It almost feels like a game. Luminette is now live on the App Store, on both iPhone and the brand new iPhone Duo. Try it out and please let me know what you think.
