LumaEcho - Practice languages with real people

Hey ProductHunt! 👋 I'm Martin, a solo developer from Cologne, Germany. I started LumaEcho to learn AI-assisted development — and it turned into something much bigger than I expected. The idea is simple: What if social media was built around voice instead of text — and designed for people who want to practice real languages with real people? You can post voice messages or text, reply with "echoes", and join classrooms to chat in different languages. Every audio post gets transcribed automatically (OpenAI Whisper) and any text can be translated instantly (DeepL). No app needed — it runs entirely in the browser. Tech stack: Java · Spring Boot · Next.js · PostgreSQL · Hetzner Cloud (hosted in Germany 🇩🇪) I'm not going to pretend this is a big launch — it's a side project, built by one person, with a tiny community so far.
