What's the worst monitoring alert you've ever received?
Hey everyone 👋
I'm Jonathan, the founder of LucidStack. We're launching soon, and before that I'd love to hear from people who run websites, APIs or SaaS in production.
I built LucidStack after too many nights like this: my phone buzzes at 3 a.m., "Website is DOWN", I jump out of bed… and the site is fine. One probe had a hiccup. And when the outage was real, the alert told me nothing about why.
So LucidStack does two things differently:
An outage is only declared when most of our regions (Paris, Amsterdam, Warsaw) agree. No more false alarms.
Every incident comes with an AI probable cause built from the timeline, the regions, TLS and DNS, plus a draft post-mortem and a public update.
On top of that: status pages on your own domain, monthly PDF reports for your clients and on-call escalation, all hosted in the EU.
Three questions for you:
What's the worst (or funniest) alert you've ever received?
What does your current monitoring setup miss the most?
If you work with clients: what do you show them when something breaks?
Every answer will shape what we build next. And there will be a little something for the Product Hunt community on launch day 🎁
Thanks for reading!
