Lucid Report - See how the same story is reported across the world

by
Lucid Report helps people see how the same story is reported across different publishers. It aggregates coverage from thousands of outlets, clusters related reporting, highlights patterns in framing and narrative, and generates neutral summaries so readers can understand the full picture faster. Most news products optimise for attention. Lucid is built for comparison, transparency, and context, helping readers think more clearly instead of react more quickly.

I built Lucid out of a growing discomfort with the architecture of modern information. Too much of the internet no longer helps people compare reality. It rewards reaction, compresses context, and turns attention itself into the product. The problem I wanted to solve was not news access, but news legibility. The same event can be rendered into entirely different realities depending on framing, omission, sequencing, and incentive. Lucid was built to make that visible by bringing related coverage together, surfacing patterns across sources, and generating neutral summaries that help people orient before they form a view. As I worked on it, the idea became less about building another news app and more about restoring a missing layer of public sensemaking. Not a system that tells people what to think, but one that gives them a better basis on which to think at all.
