What makes planning a wedding from another country so difficult?

I’ve spent years planning weddings and events in Bangladesh, and one challenge keeps coming up: the celebration may be local, but the people making the decisions are often thousands of kilometres away.

Couples and families living abroad may be coordinating venues, décor, vendors, guest arrangements and traditions across time zones and dozens of conversations.
