After playing the first alchemy game, I was mad at my friend who sent me the link. It was so engaging that I spent over 8 hours unlocking all the elements.

It's actually an interesting problem for me to solve as a designer. People tend to get completely lost in the game and I don't think it's exactly healthy.
you could at a timer for like an hour and notify people to take a break and come back later maybe

Our statistics would suggest that's the case. But in all seriousness, your mileage may vary. Some people get completely lost in it, but at the same time it's not a game for everyone.
And here goes my day. Best game ever :) I remember playing the first one (and not finishing it). This one I'm going to finish .

I love this game and have lost many hours playing it. I also compete with my 10-year old daughter to see who can create the most items. She is beating me hands down.
