Hi Product Hunt!

I've been a long-term skincare enthusiast (initially because due to adult acne). I wanted something simple and private to track my progress, but nothing out there felt quite right. Along the way I discovered retinoids - one of the few ingredients that actually does something measurable for your skin. The problem is they take months to show results, and without tracking, it's pretty hard to know if they're working.

I built Liminal because of my own experience and the experience of so many people overwhelmed by products and routines with no way to know what's actually helping. My goal is to replace guessing with clarity - track what you apply, see how your skin responds, and let the patterns speak for themselves.

Every day (or based on your routine) you do a quick checkup: snap a photo, rate your skin across dimensions like irritation, dryness, and acne, and log which products you applied. Over time, those small data points build a real picture of what's working and what isn’t!

The app is built for iOS with a privacy-first approach - all data stays on your device with no sign-up required. It syncs with Apple Health so your skin trends live alongside your other health data, and iCloud sync is coming soon so your photos, logs, and routines follow you across devices. You can also export your data in a pdf format for sharing with for example a healthcare professional.

Your feedback is very much appreciated!
