Limelight - Record screen demos with your cursor & keystrokes baked in

by
A native macOS menu-bar app for demos, tutorials, and screen recordings. Spotlight your cursor, show the keys you press, and draw or drop text on any app — each with one hotkey. Then hit record: Limelight auto-zooms into every click, smooths your cursor, and bakes those overlays right into the video. Trim and export to mp4 or a 9:16 clip — no editing afterward. Fully offline. The cursor spotlight is free; Pro is a one-time $34 lifetime, no subscription.

Hey Product Hunt 👋 Limelight first launched as a way to make your cursor and keystrokes visible during demos — but everyone kept asking the same thing: "can it record too?" So I built that in. Now one hotkey records your screen with auto-zoom into every click, a smoothed cursor, and all your overlays — the spotlight, keystrokes, drawing — baked right into the video. Then trim and export to mp4 or a 9:16 clip, no editing afterward. The thing I couldn't find anywhere else: a recorder where the cursor highlight and on-screen keystrokes are PART of the recording, not something you composite in later. It's exactly what I wanted for my own coding tutorials and Zoom demos. The cursor spotlight is free forever. Would love your feedback — especially what would make your demos easier to record 🙏
