LeafLens for Android - Plant ID and watering on the right day, now on Android

by•
LeafLens is now on Google Play. Photograph a plant and it names the species, tells you whether it is safe around cats and dogs, and builds a watering interval for that exact plant instead of a weekly rule. It reminds you the day water is due, and marking a plant watered re-bases the next reminder. Photo diagnosis names what is wrong with a sick leaf and how to fix it. We built it because watering on a guessed schedule is how most houseplants die. Google sign-in, no ads, 3-day trial.

Hey Product Hunt šŸ‘‹ Six days ago we launched LeafLens for iOS here. The Android build cleared Google Play review today, so this is the Android launch. Why we built it: I kept killing houseplants by watering on a schedule I made up. "Every Sunday" feels responsible, but overwatering is the most common way a houseplant dies. LeafLens photographs a plant, tells you what it is and whether it is safe around a cat or dog, then gives that plant its own watering interval and reminds you the day water is due. Mark it watered and the next reminder re-bases itself. Also on Android: • Photo diagnosis — name what is wrong with a sick leaf and the steps to fix it • A plant assistant that answers questions about your own plants • Every plant, its care history, and its next task in one place Android specifics: Google sign-in, Play Billing, and the yearly plan carries a 3-day free trial. No ads. šŸ¤– Google Play — Two things I would like Android users to break: identification on damaged or variegated leaves, and reminder timing across a device restart. Tell me what your device did and I will fix it this week.
