Why we built it: I kept killing houseplants by watering on a schedule I made up. "Every Sunday" feels responsible, but overwatering is the most common way a houseplant dies. LeafLens photographs a plant, tells you what it is and whether it is safe around a cat or dog, then gives that plant its own watering interval and reminds you the day water is due. Mark it watered and the next reminder re-bases itself.
