Hi Product Hunt! I'm the maker of LayerYear, a photo journal built around a simple question: what was this day like in the other years of my life? Each year has its own row in the timeline, so you can compare the same date across years. Photos you allow access to appear on the day they were taken, giving you a way to revisit the past from your existing photo library. Add a short note, a mood or a tag to keep today's context for the future. You can also revisit memories by city or tag, see recorded routes on a map, and make a timeline video from your travels. There is no LayerYear account to create; your records sync through your own iCloud. LayerYear is available for iPhone and Mac in 11 languages. Writing and revisiting your journal is free on iPhone, with an optional subscription for extra themes and record colors. Mac includes a 7-day trial and requires a subscription afterward. The same subscription works across both apps with your Apple Account. I'd love to hear how the year-by-year view feels with your own photos, and what would make it easier to return to your journal. Thanks for taking a look!
