The Biggest Startup Mistake Isn't What You Think.

by

Over the last few weeks of building Launch Pilot, one pattern has become impossible to ignore.

Most founders don't fail because they can't code.

They fail because they never challenge their assumptions.

A few examples:

• "People definitely have this problem." Did you talk to them?

• "There's no competition." Or did you just not find it?

• "People will pay." Would they pay today?

• "We're ready to launch." Based on what?

As founders, we often optimize for building because building feels like progress.

But progress without validation can be expensive.

That's one of the reasons we're building Launch Pilot—not to replace founder intuition, but to challenge it before weeks or months are invested.

I'm curious:

What's one assumption about your startup that turned out to be completely wrong?

I'd love to hear the stories. Those lessons are usually more valuable than any startup advice.
