What should a Laravel-native AI coding agent actually be able to do?
We've been building LaraCopilot around a simple question:
What would an AI coding agent look like if it actually understood Laravel - not just PHP?
Most AI app builders are designed to work across frameworks and stacks. That's powerful, but Laravel developers often end up adapting the generated code to fit the way Laravel applications are actually built.
With LaraCopilot, we're trying a different approach:
Laravel-first architecture
Eloquent and migrations
Livewire / Inertia
Laravel authentication and authorization
Queues, jobs and events
Tests and Laravel conventions
GitHub workflows
Deployment to Laravel infrastructure
We're relaunching LaraCopilot on Product Hunt tomorrow, and before launch day I'd genuinely like to hear from the community:
If you could give a Laravel-native AI coding agent one capability that would save you the most time, what would it be?
Bug fixing?
Refactoring?
Tests?
Building features?
Understanding an existing codebase?
Deployments?
Curious to hear what Laravel developers actually want AI to handle.
