What if AI could write software in your mother tongue?

by•

We've become used to AI generating code for us.

But there's a fundamental question we rarely ask:

Why should humans have to adapt to the language of machines, instead of making machines communicate in languages humans can understand?

At Kreyol Labs, we're exploring a different approach. We're developing KREYOL, a multilingual programming language designed to make programming more accessible, readable, and understandable across several languages.

The ambition goes beyond translating keywords. We want the language itself to encourage AI to produce code that humans can read, understand, and learn from — with explanations, annotations, and lessons integrated into the programming process.

TiKod Studio is where we're bringing this vision to life. It combines AI-assisted creation, visual design, programming in KREYOL, 3D code visualization, and interactive learning in one creative environment.

But this is only the beginning. We believe AI should become a programming partner, not just a black box that delivers code.

We'd love to hear your thoughts:

  • Would you feel more comfortable programming in your mother tongue?

  • Could multilingual programming change the way people learn to code?

  • Should AI-generated code be required to explain itself?

We're building this vision step by step, and we'd love to hear what the community thinks.
