Kraken Deploy is a new deployment automation tool we built after Octopus moved to per-project pricing. We wanted a scalable, fair alternative with solid CI/CD features, Kubernetes support, and open-source agents. It’s early but ready for public testing. Looking for feedback, feature ideas, and help shaping the roadmap.

The inspiration came when Octopus Deploy switched to per-project pricing. It created real problems at my co-founder’s workplace, and it made us question why deployment tooling should get more expensive just because a team has many services. That frustration pushed us to build a fair alternative. As we started working, the scope naturally grew. What began as a simpler deploy tool turned into full CD, multi-environment flows, Kubernetes support, workers, an API/CLI, and an open-source agent. We iterated constantly, rebuilt parts several times, and tried to focus on keeping things simple while still powerful. The launch is early, but that’s intentional-we want feedback now so we can shape the roadmap with real user needs rather than guessing.
