Hi Product Hunt!
I built Kontext Studio because I kept hitting the same wall: chat-with-your-data tools either lock you into a hosted service, or hand you an answer you can’t trace or reproduce.
Kontext Studio is a local-first workspace. You connect files and databases, ask a question, and a coordinator routes the work to SQL, chart, notebook, and Python specialists. Every tool call stays visible. What you get back isn’t a chat reply — it’s a data table, a chart, or a notebook with prose, SQL, Python, and diagrams you can edit, rerun, and share.
Knowledge concepts keep the agents grounded in your metrics, joins, and golden queries, and agent-proposed updates show up for your review instead of silently changing.
The app, API, worker, and Python kernels run on one machine. Pick Ollama or LM Studio, or a cloud provider — prompts only go where you configure.
Install it in one line: `uv tool install kontext-studio`, then `kontext serve`. MIT licensed. I’d love feedback on what to build next.
