Launching tomorrow — equal parts proud and terrified
Tomorrow Keppt goes live here on Product Hunt, and I'm honestly a bundle of nerves writing this.
I've got plenty of experience in building software. But I'm new to building apps. No team, no co-founder, no community of other builders to lean on — it's been a solo venture from the first line of code to this post. The last six months have been nights, weekends, more money than I'd like to admit, and the kind of blood, sweat and tears you only really understand once you've tried to ship something on your own.

Keppt started with a simple, annoying problem. The most important documents in my life — passports, insurance policies, the kids' stuff, receipts I'd need at tax time — were scattered across email, my camera roll, Notes, and actual drawers. I had plenty of places to store them. I just never had a good way to use what was inside them.
So I built the thing I wanted: an app that reads your documents, files them for you, answers questions about what's inside, and reminds you before things expire. Private by design — no ads, no tracking, nothing sold, and your documents never train general AI models.

And now it's launch day. This is the first real signal of whether all of that was worth it — or whether I've quietly spent half a year building something only I care about. That's the honest headspace I'm in tonight: proud of what it became, and a little terrified to finally put it in front of people.
Doing this alone, the hardest part hasn't been the code — it's not having anyone in the same boat to talk to. So this post is partly me reaching for exactly that. If you've launched something of your own, I'd genuinely love to hear how you got through your first launch — the nerves, the doubt, all of it. I'll be around all day tomorrow, and I'd love to say hi.
