Hey Product Hunt 🎶 I'm Cliane, creator of Kanta, alongside my three siblings.
The idea started while my brother and I were waiting for our sister to finish work. He's always writing down ideas, and one of them immediately caught my attention: lyrics on camera.
The idea came from a night out at a club. An old 2010s song started playing, and everyone around him seemed to know every word except him. While the crowd sang along, he was left nodding to the beat and trying to keep up without knowing the lyrics. It was a simple moment, but one that felt surprisingly relatable. We've all been there at some point. Whether at a concert, festival, club, or karaoke night, there are moments when you want to join in but do not quite know the words. That conversation became the starting point for Kanta, all while sitting in a café that my siblings and I will probably remember forever.
That got us thinking: why is it so easy to identify a song, yet so difficult to follow along with it in the moment?
We built Kanta to solve that.
Kanta combines real-time song recognition with synchronized lyrics directly on your camera. Point your phone at the stage, and lyrics appear instantly while you record. No switching between apps, no searching for lyrics, and no losing the moment. We also built Concert Cache, which lets users preload setlists before a show so lyrics remain available even when venue reception becomes unreliable. Combined with 4K recording and customizable lyric overlays, Kanta is designed specifically for live music experiences.

What started as a side project became an 18-day sprint filled with late nights, debugging sessions, and a few App Store rejections along the way. Today, it's finally live.
