Maker here: why we built Just Checking In.
Hi everyone,
It can be difficult to know how the people you love are really doing and checking in every day by text can feels like nagging. So we built a lighter way. You do a quick daily check-in that shares how you're feeling with a small, private circle of people you trust.
Save Their Last Check-In-
"The last two check-in from my aunt before she passed, was she is grateful. I remember recording her going through the first version of the app and how much she loved checking in with me. I would feel guilty when we were testing because she would check-in on her own.
I pushed to continue development so I could finally continue checking in with her daily.
She loved the new designs and emotional selection. She called me -Neph-son "
If you skip a scheduled check-in, your connections gets a heads up. That's it.
A few things to try:
Set up a check-in and add one or two people to your circle. It takes about two minutes.
Look at the missed check-in alert settings. This is the part people care about most, and the part I most want to get right.
It's free on iPhone and Android, with a 30-day history.
Premium adds longer history, SMS alerts, and a year-long check-in pattern view.
What I'd love to hear from you:
How was your experience adding someone to your friends list, or the alert settings?
Who in your life would you actually use this with? Aging parents, a partner, a friend going through a hard time, a roommate?
We're reading every reply and will answer questions.
Thanks for just checking in.
