Does anyone actually use the AI sidebar in their project tool?
Honest question, because I might have built the wrong thing.
Most project tools have an AI panel on the right side now. You open it, ask something, then paste the answer back into a task. I never got into the habit with any of them. The panel just sat there.
So with is.team I tried the other way. The agent is a member of the board. It gets assigned tasks, moves them, leaves comments, same as a person would. There is no panel to open.
What I keep going back and forth on is whether an agent doing things on the board without asking every single time is useful, or whether it just makes you nervous. Anything destructive asks first, but I don't know if that is where other people would draw the line.
The other thing I'd like to hear about: if you already use AI at work, did it stick? Or was it another tab you stopped opening after two weeks?
I'm a solo founder and I built most of this with AI help, so I'm not neutral about any of it. Ask me whatever, I don't mind getting into the details.
We go live here tomorrow, September 15. Not fishing for anything, I just want to hear this before launch day instead of after.
