How do you handle invoicing for EU clients as a freelancer?

by•

I'm building Invoqk, an AI invoice generator. The idea started with a boring problem: a client sends a message like "3 logo designs at $150 each and 1 brand guide for $400, invoice Weber GmbH in Berlin, due in 14 days", and then you open a blank template and retype everything.

It gets worse with EU clients. Germany's B2B e-invoicing transition means a plain PDF may no longer be enough. Clients may ask for XRechnung, ZUGFeRD or Peppol.

I'd like to hear how you handle it:

  1. What do you use today (a template, an accounting app, a spreadsheet)?

  2. If you invoice EU clients, which format do they ask for?

  3. What is the most annoying part: the typing, the VAT, or chasing payment?

I built Invoqk to turn the pasted message into the invoice and export a validated e-invoice. It's free to start: . But I'm more interested in your answers than clicks. What would make a tool like this worth using for you?
