Thoughts on AI Equity Agents
I've spent my entire career in finance as a data analyst and data and software engineer, helping analysts and portfolio managers integrate disparate data sources into their infrastructure.
Building integrations and bespoke infrastructure is typically time consuming (some investment teams don't even get off the ground), but I've been genuinely impressed with Anthropic's equity agents and their ability to abstract a lot of that away. Are they a panacea? No, but they are a step up from much of the rigid and brittle infrastructure built around the use cases they handle.
Although this paradigm is still very young, I think it can easily become the default tech stack for many teams, if it hasn't already. I'm curious to hear others' thoughts and experiences in this space.
P.S. I also launched on Product Hunt today--much of it was inspired by the pain points mentioned above and to be far more comprehensive than existing Equity Agents (since investment professionals are extremely picky).
