From Long Island New York to the Mojave Desert of California rebuilding my life from abuse and trauma and healing from losses I am still grieving ,turning my pain into purpose building safe multilingual trauma -aware, ND-friendly tech for the blind, deaf, and underserved communities I am asking for some support for I’m competing in the Emergent Builders Contest with my accessibility‑first SAFE‑AI ecosystem. welcome, and respect for building this solo out of an RV. blind, deaf, and ND needs are three genuinely different interaction models, not variations on one theme. are you building one adaptive core that branches per need, or separate paths for each from the start?

 Sabber, thank you — and yes, you’re absolutely right. Blind, Deaf, and ND interaction models are fundamentally different, not UI variations.

I’m building a single adaptive core, but not a “one-size-fits-all” engine. The core handles safety, multilingual logic, trauma-aware communication, and accessibility rules. From there, each need branches into its own fully distinct interaction model:

  • Blind Mode: screen‑reader‑first structure, linear navigation, verbosity control, non-visual spatial cues.

  • Deaf/HOH Mode: text-priority flow, ASL-friendly pacing, visual emphasis, zero reliance on audio metaphors.

  • ND Modes: reduced cognitive load, predictable patterns, optional step-by-step scaffolding, sensory‑safe formatting.

So: one adaptive core, three independent pathways, each designed from scratch for its community rather than retrofitted.

Appreciate you seeing the complexity — most people miss that part.
