Sam Boustani

Long time, first time

by

Hi, Sam here, have been a software developer around 25 years, from the early days of VB6 and classic ASP. Over the years, like many, I have had several ideas and even launched services for local businesses and government (side work outside of regular job).

The worst thing about being older is looking back at the shots you didn't take. The graveyard of domain names, half-built products, and polished websites that were never launched.

Anyway, I finally published my first product in 15 years to the public that businesses can actually start using today. It took around three months to develop with the help of an AI IDE, but that doesn't mean I didn't code and get involved myself. Guiding the AI alone to get things right was also work enough.

Every time I demo this product, the client wants it immediately. However, doing that one-by-one manually it not scalable, so I'm starting to look at ways to get the word out. I knew about Product Hunt, but never used it. Looks like there are 300+ places one can "launch" their product these days, but I know PH is one of the top. I didn't realize how much work went into a proper and successful launch, so I'm prepping for that. I'm a developer, not a marketer, so we'll see how it goes.

Let me know how I can help you!

Congrats on finally shipping after 15 years...that's huge! Love hearing stories like yours...built with AI but still hands-on. Clients wanting it right away is a great sign.

I'm a dev too...just built The Sponge, an AI-powered flashcard app that turns webpages into spaced repetition study material (originally for Jeopardy prep). Launching on PH soon...if you're up for it, would appreciate a follow (link in profile).

Let me know how I can help with your launch prep!
