Hi Product Hunt! đź‘‹ Solo founder building for cognitive calm & privacy-first productivity.

Hey everyone!

I’m a product builder and creative director, and I wanted to drop in, say hello, and share a bit about what I’ve been working on lately.

For the past year, I’ve found myself increasingly burnt out by the current state of productivity tools. I downloaded a simple to-do app a while back, and it forced me to create a cloud account, sign a massive data privacy waiver, and immediately flooded my phone with heavy background sync lag and push notifications—just so I could map out my daily tasks.

It made me realize that modern software has a massive problem with cloud-bloat and data tracking.

So, I decided to build a solution focused entirely on two principles: Cognitive Calm and Absolute Privacy.

I’ve been quietly developing Tasker—a premium, 100% offline-first task manager and day planner built completely around the Material 3 design system. Because it has a strict zero-data-collection architecture and runs on a fast local NoSQL database (Hive), it requires no internet, zero user accounts, and launches completely instantly.

I combined a clean visual calendar view and a built-in Pomodoro focus timer with satisfying, gamified habit mechanics (streaks and visual achievement badges) to create an environment that feels peaceful rather than stressful.

We are officially pushing the app live on Product Hunt this coming Saturday, June 20th (which uniquely lines up with World Productivity Day!).

I’m incredibly excited to transition from lurking to actively building in public with this community. I’d love to connect with fellow indie hackers, product designers, and anyone who is passionate about clean UI/UX, behavioral design, or data sovereignty.

Are you currently working on a passion project or launching soon? Drop a link or pitch below—I’d love to check out what you’re building and exchange feedback! 🛠️

Neat approach to fixing productivity burnout with privacy and calm in mind! Tasker sounds like a solid concept. I'll check it out when it launches. Building The Sponge, an AI flashcard app to help knowledge actually stick. If you're up for it, I'm launching on PH soon...would appreciate a follow (See "PRODUCT HUNT LAUNCH" Link in my profile)
