👋 Hi Product Hunt, I'm Emmanuel. I build Merzify from Lagos, Nigeria.
Most intros start with a bio. Mine starts with a number: 30% of Amazon reviews are fake, and that number is growing faster than real ones are.
I found that out the hard way, analyzing products that looked perfect on paper and weren't. Five-star, thousands of reviews, "verified purchase" everywhere. The kind of listing you don't think twice about.
Here's what building this taught me. The tools that used to catch this, Fakespot and ReviewMeta, are both dead now. The ones still around give you a score or a grade and stop there. None of them answer the actual question a shopper has, which isn't "what's the score"; it's "should I buy this or not."
So Merzify gives a straight verdict. Safe to Buy, Proceed with Caution, Uncertain, or Trust Cannot Be Established. And the rule I won't break: if the data isn't there, it says so. No guessing to look smarter than it is.
Pre-launch right now, building in public, planning to launch here properly soon. If you've been burned by a five-star product that wasn't, I'd like to hear about it. That's exactly the story Merzify exists for.
