Hi PH! I make Tillkit, launching Friday
by•
Hi everyone! I run a small online shop and got tired of paying a platform every month, so I built our own store and turned the code into Tillkit: Stripe checkout, sales tax, inventory from supplier invoices and profit reports, self-hosted for about $5 a month.
I'm here to learn from other makers, especially anyone who has launched a paid developer product without an audience.
What's one thing you wish you'd done before your first launch?

Good luck on Friday. The one thing I wish I had done before sending traffic to my Stripe checkout: try paying from where real buyers actually are. Ads sent people in from social apps, and inside those apps' own browsers there was no saved wallet, some cards were refused, and in one region the local payment methods people expected were not available at all. Hundreds of opened checkouts, zero payments, and nothing in my code was broken. For Tillkit buyers that may mean a pre launch checklist: pay once from a phone, from inside Instagram's browser, with a card from another country.
