Hey Product Hunt. I’m Rolf, and I apparently can’t stop building things
I’m Rolf, a maker from Norway and the person behind Eriksen Labs.
I don’t have a particularly elegant “I’ve spent 15 years in SaaS and finally discovered my calling” origin story. I mostly started building because I kept finding problems that made me think surely I can make something better than this, and AI coding tools made the distance between having that thought and actually shipping something dramatically shorter.
Over the last little while that has taken me in a few different directions. I’ve shipped two Atlassian Cloud apps, built a small programming language and DAG orchestrator for AI workflows called Aion, started doing web work for businesses in Norway, and most recently built what it does, an open-source tool that maps what a codebase actually does and what changes when you or a coding agent edits it.
There’s a bit of a pattern emerging that I didn’t really plan: I’m increasingly interested in the mess created by software becoming easier to build. We can now generate features, integrations and entire applications absurdly quickly, but understanding, maintaining and trusting everything we’ve created hasn’t magically become equally easy.
I’m still figuring out exactly what Eriksen Labs becomes from here. For now I’m treating it as a place where I can keep shipping focused products, learn what people actually use, kill the things that deserve to die, and double down when something earns the right to become bigger.
That’s also why I finally started spending more time around Product Hunt instead of just lurking. There are a ridiculous number of people here building strange, specific things, and I get far more out of seeing what other makers are experimenting with than reading another “10 SaaS trends for 2026” article.
