Hey PH, I am building a road trip discovery app for roads that don't exist on Google Maps
Hey Product Hunt 👋
I'm Tushar, a solo developer based in India. I've been building quietly for a while and finally decided to show up here.
What I'm building:
Tempadora an Android app for road trips, bike rides and adventures where the journey matters more than the destination. You record your route as you go, drop hotspots along the way (hidden viewpoints, local food spots, campsites, trail entrances anything worth stopping for), and publish it so other travellers can discover and navigate the same journey.
The core idea: India has incredible roads and an enormous travel community, but almost no community-sourced discovery layer for people who want to go beyond the obvious. Google tells you the fastest route. Nobody tells you about the unmarked waterfall 3km off the highway or the tea stall at the top of the mountain pass that's been there for 40 years.
Tempadora is trying to be that. It is built entirely on what real travellers add, not editorial lists or paid placements.
Where it stands:
It's live on Android, early stage, users in India. The product main features are route recording, hotspot creation, publishing, discovery map. What it doesn't have yet is enough community data to be genuinely useful at scale, which is the next problem to solve.
Why I'm here:
Honestly, to connect with other makers who've built community-first products and figured out the cold start problem. And to get Tempadora in front of people who might find it useful or have sharp feedback on what's missing.
If you've ever been frustrated that no travel app actually helps you find the good stuff. I'd love for you to try it and tell me what you think.
Always happy to talk product, Android dev, or the chaos of building solo.
