Hey! Building a simple coffee app for my daily brews

by•

Hey everyone!

I'm an indie dev, and I've been working on a clean specialty coffee app called Cupmark (). It helps you log your brews, dial in espresso or pour-overs, and track flavor profiles without getting in your way.

The Android app is built with Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, Supabase, and Cloudflare, and it's finally ready to be published on Google Play!

Since I'm getting ready to launch, I'd love to ask you guys:

  1. For other indie makers: How do you usually get your first early users or pre-signups before hitting publish?

  2. For coffee lovers: What's the one feature you wish every coffee app had?

Would love to chat and hear your tips!

Welcome, Anas! One Google Play detail worth checking before launch: if your developer account is a new personal one, Play asks for a closed test with at least 12 testers for 14 days before you can publish to production. That rule is annoying, but it's also your answer for first users. Recruit those testers from coffee communities, the people who argue about grind size on forums, not from friends, and you get real feedback plus a small group who already care on launch day. The other cheap win is translating the store listing into a few languages, my first organic installs came from people searching in their own language. Good luck with Cupmark!
