Hello, Product Hunt community! 👋

I’m Baran Bayran, founder of SkiHub, based in Bursa, Türkiye.

I grew up in a family that ran businesses in Uludağ, one of Türkiye’s best-known ski destinations, for many years. I managed the ski rental operation and ski school at Ağaoğlu Hotel. Through that experience, I saw firsthand how difficult it could be for customers to find the right instructor and suitable equipment—and how hard local businesses worked to reach those customers.

After losing my father, I founded SkiHub to carry my family’s experience on the mountain into the future.

Today, SkiHub brings ski and snowboard instructor discovery and equipment rental together in one app. Our app is live, with 50 instructors and 500 users on the platform. We’re still early, but we now have a working product to build on.

My long-term goal is to bring instructors, ski schools, rental businesses, tour operators, hotels, and manufacturers together in a shared winter sports marketplace. I want to build a sports technology company that grows from Bursa to serve people around the world.

My strengths are hands-on operations and understanding customers. I’m now working to turn that experience into reliable technology and a sustainable business. With the winter season approaching, I’m particularly interested in connecting with people who can support product development and engineering, potential business partners, sponsors, and early-stage investors.

I’m here to learn from other founders and share what I’ve learned from working on the mountain. I’d especially love to hear from marketplace builders about turning first-time users into returning customers.
