Building AntiRot – Helping People Beat Doomscrolling ⭐

Hey everyone! I’m Abubakar, and together with my partner Samrat, we’re building AntiRot; an Android app designed to help people break the doomscrolling cycle and build healthier relationships with their phones.

We started working on AntiRot because we felt that most screen-time tools were too easy to ignore or bypass. We wanted to build something more intentional. An app that puts friction between you and the apps you’re trying to stop mindlessly opening, while still giving you control over your own rules.

We’ve been building, testing, tweaking, breaking things, and rebuilding quite a bit along the way. 😅 It’s been especially interesting figuring out how to balance strong blocking with an experience that doesn’t feel overly restrictive.

We’re getting AntiRot ready for its Product Hunt launch, and we’re excited to finally share what we’ve been working on.

We’re also here to meet other makers, learn from the community, give feedback on products, and follow along with what everyone else is building.
