What actually happens after an SEO audit?

by

I keep seeing the same thing. Every SEO audit usually finds real issues, the recommendations are usually valid and everyone agrees something should be fixed.

Then nothing happens.

The work gets stuck between marketing, dev, content, budget, priorities, and “we’ll look at it next month" or it'll 'maybe' get looked at during the next sprint.”

So I’m curious how other specialists or marketing teams deal with this.

When SEO work stalls, where does it usually break? Is it dev time? Unclear priorities? Too many recommendations?

Nobody owning the fixes? SEO not being tied closely enough to revenue? - or perhaps all of the above?

I’m asking because I think the real problem is often not finding SEO issues but getting the right fixes done in the right order.
