Impossible Adware Remover - Find the hidden app behind pop-up ads on Android

by•
Full-screen ads over your home screen, over WhatsApp or the moment you unlock come from an installed app, often one with no icon or hidden inside a QR scanner or cleaner that still works. Impossible catches it in the act: it records which app draws each pop-up, names it after about two, then opens Android's uninstall dialog. It also scans every app against signed adware definitions. Free to find, €4.99 once to reveal and remove. No subscription, no ads.

Hey Product Hunt! I'm Sebastian, the maker of Impossible Adware Remover. Why I built it: when an Android phone starts showing full-screen ads, the usual advice is "uninstall your recent apps" or "install an antivirus". Neither works well. Adware often waits days before its first ad, so it isn't your most recent app, and it hides inside apps that still work normally (a QR scanner, a flashlight, a "cleaner"), so scans that compare against known lists miss it. So Impossible doesn't guess. With your permission, it watches which app opens a window on top of the screen and when (never what's on the screen), and after about two pop-ups it names the app. Then it opens Android's own uninstall dialog, with a shield that keeps the pop-ups off it, and checks the ads really stopped. What's in it: - Catches unknown adware by what it does, not by its name - A free known adware scan with signed definitions, updated daily - Finds the app behind ad notifications - Nothing leaves your phone: no account, no ads, no analytics Pricing: finding the app is free. Revealing and removing it is €4.99 once, and if the ads come back within 7 days, the next reveal is free. I'd love your feedback, especially if you've ever fought pop-up ads on a parent's or friend's phone. What did you try first?
