Wanted ASCII art for a README banner. Every free tool I tried required guessing column width, character style, and inversion — output was either crushed detail or static noise. 20 minutes for one usable result. Built this instead. Pick a photo, choose from 12 character styles (classic @#S%, block chars, binary, minimal), adjust columns, export PNG/SVG/TXT. Pre-tuned defaults work on the first try. The AI mode generates the source image from a text prompt, then converts it — all in one click.

That's the part that actually surprised me. Free, no account, no server upload. All processing happens locally.

Love that you actually shipped the presets — picking a character set and just trusting the defaults instead of fiddling with sliders is exactly the kind of respect for my time that wins me over.
