What feature or new service do you wish IFTTT had?

by

Hey everyone, Chelsea here, I’m the content marketer at IFTTT. 👋 Wanted to kick off something a little different from our usual “here’s what we shipped” posts.

Quick reminder in case IFTTT’s new to you: it connects the apps, devices, and services you already use so they can work together automatically. Post once and it shows up everywhere. Get a text the second your doorbell rings. Log every workout, every new item in an RSS feed, into a spreadsheet without touching it yourself.

Going forward, my team and I are planning to post here regularly, not just when we’ve got a launch. Some weeks that’ll be a new feature, some weeks a set of automations worth trying, and some weeks just us asking what you want to see next.

So let’s start with that last one: what’s a trigger, query, or action you wish existed on a service we already support, or a whole new service you want to see on IFTTT?

A couple of examples to show there's no wrong way to answer:

  • "I'd love an Instagram trigger for any new carousel post by me, so I can auto-save every slide to a Google Drive folder."

  • Been hoping for a Duolingo integration forever. Even just a trigger for "finished my daily lesson" would let me reward myself with something automated.

Doesn't need to be that specific either. Even "I use X and Y every day and wish they talked to each other" is enough to get us thinking.

Drop it below, I'd love to hear what you'd build!

We might already have this, but I'd love something like a Holiday watcher that watches Flights, hotels, trips, tours etc to a certain place/dates and notifies you when there is a sale or prices are low. Would save me heaps of money!

That's a good one! This is something I actually have connected myself, I love traveling so this is right up my alley. 😎

There's an Applet that watches The Flight Deal's feed and emails you the second a deal matches your departure city. So instead of checking a deals site every day, it just lands in your inbox when there's actually something worth booking.

Here's the link if you want to set it up:
