My family wouldn't know what to do with my accounts if something happened to me

by•

I'm Taylor, the founder of If Required.

I've lived online my whole adult life. Dozens of accounts, years of photos spread across clouds, subscriptions, domains, a home network, side projects, and a lot of things that matter that only exist behind my logins. Before every flight I used to write emails to my boys, just in case.

At some point I realized none of it would make sense to my family without me. Not the passwords, but the context: what exists, what matters, what to keep, what to shut down, and who to call.

So I built If Required. It's an app where you write down what your family would need to know. If something happens to you, it gets to the people you chose, but only after the trusted contacts you picked confirm.

We launch on October 11. Before then, I'd love to hear from people who live as much of their life online as I do:

What part of your digital life would your family have the hardest time making sense of without you?

For me, it's knowing which accounts actually matter and where the photos really live.

Every answer helps me decide what to make easier to start with.
