Hi PH, maker here. Icarus started from one thing I kept watching: a coding agent about to rewrite something a teammate had already tried and had rejected, because git only keeps what merged. The why was in a closed PR nobody would read again. So Icarus reads the whole GitHub record (code, pull requests, reviews) and answers why, what, and how, with the exact evidence on screen. The one rule it never breaks: it only says what it can prove. When no one wrote the reason down, it says "no one wrote this down" instead of guessing. That gate is deterministic: code checking code. It's a Mac app, a browser extension, and an MCP connector your coding agent can call. Public and private repos. It's early.
