Hey Product Hunt! 👋 We built Holmes because we wanted a personal agent for our Macs that didn't send our screens to the cloud. Holmes runs on local models through Ollama, sees what you're working on, and takes action across your apps. No API keys, no subscriptions, and nothing leaves your machine. It's fully open source too, so you can check every line or build on it: github.com/tryholmes/holmes-local We'd love your honest feedback, especially on what tasks you'd want a local agent to handle. We're around all day to answer questions! Quick note on installing: Holmes isn't notarized by Apple yet (it's in progress), so macOS will block it the first time you open it. To get past it, try opening Holmes once, then go to System Settings > Privacy & Security, scroll down, and click Open Anyway. If you're comfortable with the terminal, you can also run xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/Holmes.app. Since it's open source, you can always check the code or build it yourself first.
